GREETINGS FROM THE PASTOR
Greeting
in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I want to welcome you
to our church. The Lord has revitalized and rejuvenated this tiny, yet
constantly growing church. God builds His church according to His plan
and design. Part of that design is to have a Pastor whose chief responsibility
is to "Feed the Sheep," The greatest joy a Pastor can experience is
found in the freedom to boldly Preach and Instruct those the Father
brings to his flock.It is indeed my joy to serve His people here at
Greater Joy Baptist Church of Oxford. I am proud to pastor a church
where the people are putting the past behind, and enjoying the promise
of a great future that is in store.
The Lord has changed my life so drastically that I believe that He has blessed me to be a part of helping others see that the same change can happen in their life also. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I will continue to seek, wisdom from the Lord to guide the people of this great church into a greater relationship with Christ as well as a life they can be proud of.
I am also especially thankful and proud that the Lord has blessed me with a great wife, friend and helpmate, Sister Gwen Morton. She has been a tremendous blessing and inspiration as we grow together in the Lord.
Finally, I want to invite you to a church where the Pastor and the people will not judge you. From the greetings that you receive at the door by our Ushers, to the smiles that you get throughout the services, you will feel like you have found a place where people really do care. The environment will make you understand that through christ, all things are possible. It would be our joy to have you join us!
